Cineimage Purchases Recently Launched monet System
--Film Post Production Company also adds mokey to its compositing toolset--
10th September 2004 - Imagineer Systems announced today that London based film post production company Cineimage has purchased one of the first monet systems - the product was launched in the UK in August 2004. In addition to the monet start-to-finish solution for replacing elements in film and video, Cineimage has also purchased a mokey licence to complete its digital compositing workflow.
Cineimage is a 13 year old creative post production company specialising in design and effects for film and its recent credits include Troy, Stage Beauty, Colour Me Kubrick and Bride and Prejudice. The company will use both products on upcoming projects particularly using the tracking, cloning, scratch and wire removal tools and will integrate into the company's current workflow for the production of composites. Cineimage rated both monet and mokey as offering good value for money due to its potential to accelerate and add precision to the compositing workflow as well as offering professional desktop compositors an original and powerful toolset.
Steve Boag, co owner of Cineimage comments on the purchase: "We have opted to buy both applications because from the demonstration we saw it was immediately clear that not only would mokey be a huge labour saving device for the correction of problem shots, but would also improve the final result. monet also impressed us with the ability to help correct shots that previously would be extremely tough without the tools that it offers and will also open up new avenues of work for us."
Allan Jaenicke, Managing Director of Imagineer Systems adds; "We are delighted that Cineimage has chosen to purchase both monet and mokey as we see these tools as a major advantage for film companies in the future. The tools that we offer have been developed within a facility and we see this as an important factor when companies such as Cineimage are willing to place our products into their workflow which is key to them from a creative and financial standpoint.
