Imagineer would like to invite you to a day of presentations and training where you can learn all about monet and mokey, the popular visual effects applications. We have enclosed an invitation to our London Clip Clinic that is taking place on Wednesday 2 February 2005 at the Crown & Two Chairmen, 31 Dean Street, London W1 from 10.00am until 8.00pm. The London Clip Clinic is being held in association with Root6 who are showing Mti Correct version 4.0 for the first time in the UK.
The idea behind the Clip Clinic is a simple - bring along a short clip on CD (QuickTime, tga, tif etc) and we'll show you how mokey and monet will help solve any problems with the clip. If you don't want to bring along footage, that's fine - we'd be delighted to give you a brief run through of mokey and monet. We'll be providing refreshments, so if you only have a few minutes feel free to drop by for a drink and a chat.
If you'd like a specific time slot, then please let us know by calling Jill Parker on 01483685585 or e-mailing her at jp@imagineersystems.com.
For those of you bringing along material, here's a brief reminder of the kinds of shot that mokey and monet excel at creating:
- any awkward tracking shots (exports track data to flame/shake/AE)
- any stabilising shots
- wire/rig removal
- scratch/dirt/tear removal (film restoration)
- lens calibration
- add/remove/match grain
- rotosplining and matte creation
- using cleanplates to clean up footage
- tracking clips to a background (object replacement or insertion - particularly TV screens, cellphones etc)
- product/brand placement
- label replacement for packaging
So, if you can think of a shot that was difficult to do (or just plain boring!) then bring it with you and we'll show you how we would have approached making the clip better.
If you would like to attend, please contact Jill Parker on +441483685585 or via e-mail at jp@imagineersystems.com.
We look forward to seeing you there.
