Imagineer Systems is pleased to announce that three licenses of its mokey package have been purchased by Burbank, CA-based Ascent Media Management Services.

Ascent Media Management Services provides clients with a full service digital environment and has gained an enviable reputation for its restoration work in particular in recent years, undertaking jobs for many of Hollywood's top studios. mokey, with its powerful tools for 2D tracking, wire and rig removal, motion keying, stabilisation and grain management, is therefore a good fit for the facility.

"Our Ascent Media Group facilities in the UK utilise mokey for restoration, and after their experiences with the software we chose to incorporate it into our workflow," explains Rick Gross, Director of Engineering, Data and Logistics Systems for the Media Management Group.

Gross and his team are deploying mokey on the Ascent Media Management Services' three MTI Digital Restoration System workstations. "mokey has unique capabilities that enhance the MTI toolbox," he comments.

As to what projects the software has worked on to date, Gross remains tight-lipped. "Nothing that we have license to discuss," he says, "but mokey tools are in fact used as required on all the digital restoration work we undertake."
