Imagineer Systems is pleased to announce the latest sale of its monet software to Dallas-based Fast Cuts. monet is a complete start-to-finish solution for replacing elements in film and video and gives a powerful new string to the bow of a company that proudly describes itself as 'a creative group of energetic post production junkies'.

Impressively, the sale was also completed start-to-finish at this year's NAB in Las Vegas.

Richard Gillespie, Editor/Owner of Fast Cuts, takes up the story. "I came across Imagineer's booth at NAB," he says. "My company was working on a video for Nokia at the time with a particularly difficult shot to track. It hadn't been shot for tracking, had no tracking points and was rotating in 3D space. Imagineer demonstrated monet for us which was impressive. I contacted my Dallas office and had the shot sent out to us on CD. I took it back to the booth and told the Imagineer people that if they could track this shot I would buy the software. They did and I did. It is the first time I have ever actually bought anything directly on the show floor. I have set up orders before, but never an actual purchase during NAB.

"We came back to Dallas with the software and the initial track," he continues. "After some modifications we completed the shot and had a very happy client."
